Every Ending Has A Beginning (revised)

Great athletic accomplishments are meant to be shared and celebrated. An understanding of the sacrifices made, the tools needed, and the discipline required to achieve the goal produces an immediate appreciation for the accomplishment of the athlete.

Many of us are not athletes. I include myself in this category, but I have great admiration for those who are. I appreciate the goal setting, the discipline of training, and the determination it takes to accomplish

the goal. It is a synchronization of brain and body to endure to the end, win a race, and enjoy the elation of finishing what was started.

Often this is a team effort, which builds a camaraderie which lasts much longer than the event. A partnership is formed and the shared experience will be repeated, always with the hope of improvement.

These accomplishments are never the end of the journey. They are a new beginning. The anticipation of the next goal is part of that journey. Every experience brings opportunity for growth and a hope for something better.

There is much to be learned both as a participant and an observer...the decision to do something hard…the training...the discipline...having the tools needed to be successful...being flexible...being part of a team and helping others be successful...endurance of pain and discomfort...looking to the future.

In previous posts we have discussed the ending of what we know, the end of this age.

It can be a daunting subject, even depressing or defeating.

It is only a negative thing if you don’t understand that every ending has a beginning.

This is especially true when you understand God’s Perfect Plan.

Isaiah 65:17 “Look! I am creating new heavens and new earth, and no one will even think about the old ones anymore.”

When Jesus destroys evil in this world, He will also create the perfect earth and the perfect heavens. The way it was intended to be in the beginning. It will be a new beginning.

2 Peter 3:13 “But we are looking forward to the new heavens and new earth He has promised, a world filled with God’s righteousness.”

Our eternity with Jesus will be a life on this new earth. This will be life as He intends it to be.

Revelation 21:4 “He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.”

All of the things that make life so hard will be gone forever because evil will be banished.

Revelation 21:5-7 “And the One sitting on the throne said, ‘Look, I am making everything new!’ And then He said to me, ‘Write this down, for what I tell you is trustworthy and true.’ And He also said, ‘It is finished! I am the Alpha and the Omega – the Beginning and the End. To all who are thirsty I will give freely from the springs of the water of life. All who are victorious will inherit all these blessings, and I will be their God, and they will be my children.’”

Do you long for truth? Read God’s Word!

Do you want a future free of pain, death, and sorrow? Come to Jesus!

Do you want your ‘end’ to have a ‘beginning?’ Come to Jesus!

Isaiah 40:31 “But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.”
